The Company
ICBC Argentina is one of the country's leading private banks and part of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), the world's largest bank by assets. It provides financial services to individuals, businesses, and institutions, with a strong presence in corporate banking, international trade, and digital transformation.
The Challenge
As part of its digital transformation journey, ICBC Argentina needed to implement a digital customer record that would consolidate information from all its clients into a single repository, making it accessible to different business areas across the organization.
The Solution
The project began with a series of workshops and interviews involving each of the 26 business areas participating in the initiative. The objective was to identify and understand their specific needs and expectations for the solution.
The resulting desktop application was developed in Java using a flexible and scalable microservices architecture. It leverages open-source libraries and integrates seamlessly through APIs, while the frontend provides responsive user interfaces that enhance usability.
In a subsequent phase, an auditing capability was incorporated to measure and monitor system usability. The results exceeded expectations, leading to the rollout of additional agile teams to support other core business initiatives.
